As Umut İnşaat, we take pride in having undertaken the construction of the Heavy Weapons Firing Range Building, a high-profile project implemented by ASELSAN—one of Turkey’s leading defense industry organizations.
Within the scope of this facility—characterized by high-security requirements and highly specialized technical specifications—our company successfully executed the structural (shell) works. In line with the defense-related requirements of the project, the building’s durability, engineering integrity, and occupational safety standards were addressed at the highest level.
Structural Works Executed Under the Project:
🔹 Ground Preparation and Foundation Works:
To ensure the long-term performance of the load-bearing system, sub-foundation preparations were carried out in accordance with the site’s geotechnical conditions. Reinforcement and concrete works utilized high-strength class materials. The foundation systems were detailed to withstand both static and dynamic loads.
🔹 Reinforced Concrete Load-Bearing System:
The building’s columns, beams, shear walls, and slabs were designed and constructed to meet the strict requirements of firing range facilities—specifically high impact resistance, structural rigidity, and acoustic insulation. Concrete casting was performed with controlled curing processes and precision formwork systems to achieve superior surface quality.
🔹 High-Security Structural Design:
In line with the operational requirements of the firing range, reinforced concrete systems were specially engineered to resist shockwaves, vibrations, noise, and ballistic impact forces generated during live fire exercises. High-strength concrete mixes and double-reinforced shear walls were employed. The structural shell was designed to simultaneously meet building physics criteria and defense infrastructure requirements.
🔹 Open and Enclosed Space Infrastructure:
The reinforced concrete infrastructure for entrance structures, circulation zones, technical rooms, and service areas was completed within the structural works scope, ensuring readiness for subsequent mechanical, electrical, and interior fit-out installations.
