As Umut İnşaat, we have once again demonstrated our capability to deliver structures in compliance with global construction standards through the works we undertook for IKEA, one of the world’s leading brands in the furniture and retail sector, during its expansion process in Türkiye.

The project scope encompassed a wide range of works, from infrastructure to finishing applications, completed with high quality, fast execution, and strict engineering discipline.

Executed Construction Works

🔹 Excavation and Earthworks

Site excavation and earthmoving works were carried out in accordance with structural and geotechnical reports to prepare the construction area. Subgrade preparation beneath the foundations was completed with utmost precision.

🔹 Structural Concrete Works

The reinforced concrete structural system of the IKEA store was designed to accommodate large-span, high-volume spaces. Structural elements such as columns, beams, slabs, and shear walls were constructed in full compliance with engineering and safety standards.

🔹 Base and Fine Plaster Works

In interior spaces—including the large showroom, storage areas, and office sections—base and fine plaster applications were executed in multiple layers to achieve smooth surfaces, providing a proper substrate for paint and cladding works.

🔹 Painting Works

Different coating systems were applied according to the functional requirements of each area. Decorative, durable, and long-lasting finishes were prioritized in customer areas, while easy-to-clean, low-maintenance coatings were implemented in service areas.

🔹 Screed Works

Screed applications were completed in all areas designated for specific flooring systems, ensuring precise level control and surface flatness. In certain locations, detailed slope and elevation adjustments were made to accommodate special flooring requirements.

🔹 Wet Area Finishes

In wet areas such as restrooms, cleaning rooms, and staff facilities, waterproofing, screed, and ceramic tiling works were carried out to high quality standards, ensuring durability and compliance with hygiene requirements.

🔹 Cafeteria Ceramic Works

In customer dining areas, floor and wall ceramic installations were performed using the most suitable materials and techniques for both aesthetics and hygiene. Slip-resistant, heavy-duty, and easy-to-maintain surfaces were selected for high-traffic use.
