Our company has successfully completed the Portal Crane Foundations project, one of the most critical elements of Borusan Mannesmann's 60,000 m² production facility, for one of the giants of the iron and steel industry. The project required superior engineering expertise to create a solid foundation and infrastructure that would ensure the safe and smooth operation of heavy-duty cranes.
Comprehensive Engineering and Implementation Details
Deep Excavation and Ground Improvement: At the outset of the project, excavation work was carried out to create a sturdy foundation capable of bearing heavy industrial loads. Considering the sensitivity of the factory's floor structure, one of the most advanced ground improvement methods, pile driving, was implemented. This increased the ground's load-bearing capacity, ensuring the stable operation of the cranes. Following the excavation and pile driving, the necessary backfilling work was completed, finalizing the foundation preparation.
Portal Crane Foundations and Insulation: The foundations of the portal cranes, which are the operational heart of the factory, were specially designed and constructed to provide maximum resistance to the dynamic and static loads of the cranes. In order to ensure the longevity of the foundations and protect them from external factors, all insulation work (water, moisture, etc.) was completed in full.
Infrastructure and Environmental Arrangements: The project was not limited to basic manufacturing. All infrastructure and environmental arrangements supporting the overall operation and safety of the factory were completed, making the facility ready for operation.
This special project we carried out for Borusan Mannesmann showcases your company's expertise in heavy industrial structures and projects requiring challenging engineering. We are proud to have added value to one of Turkey's leading industrial brands through this project.
