Our company has successfully completed a modern, single-block educational complex for Metin Ceylan College, with a total construction area of 12,000 m², providing education from kindergarten to high school level. This project offers a living and learning space that supports all areas of student development with its innovative architecture, bringing together education, sports, laboratories, and social areas.
Construction Process and Comprehensive Application Details
Structural Framework and Foundation: At the start of the project, the necessary excavation and filling works were completed to ensure the building was constructed on a solid foundation. The building's load-bearing skeleton was reinforced with high-strength reinforced concrete foundations, walls, and columns. Reinforced concrete slabs were poured on all floors of the building to form the skeleton of the architectural plan. Throughout the building, all insulation work was completed thoroughly to ensure the structure's longevity. Elevator and stairwells for vertical circulation, along with the necessary shafts and embedded installations for electrical and mechanical systems, were installed.
Facade and Roof Systems: The exterior appearance of the campus was designed to be modern and energy efficient. On the exterior facade, composite mesh facade manufacturing was carried out, providing thermal insulation with cladding and plaster paint applications, offering an aesthetic appearance. On the roof, terrace slope concrete, terrace insulation, and protective concrete were poured to ensure waterproofing. A steel roof system was constructed to add durability and aesthetics to the building, and a roof covering was applied on site.
Interior Finishing: Extensive finishing work and special applications were carried out to enhance the functionality and aesthetics of educational and social areas.
Special Functional Areas: The project included the creation of unique areas such as ballet and gymnastics halls, a 450-seat conference hall, a pocket cinema, and a simulation environment called “London Street.” In addition, educational areas such as mind games classrooms, a science center, laboratories, workshops, and a digital library were meticulously designed.
Partitions and Surfaces: Gypsum partition walls filled with rock wool for sound and heat insulation were constructed, including double-sided, single-sided, and double-layer gypsum partition walls. All plastering and painting work on the walls was completed with great care.
Floor Coverings: Various floor coverings were used according to the needs of different areas: durable and hygienic PVC flooring, carpet flooring that provides a warm atmosphere, epoxy flooring for laboratories, and special concrete flooring for the kitchen. EPDM flooring was used in sports areas to ensure safety and performance.
Other Applications: Wall and floor ceramics, aesthetic marble stair coverings, suspended ceilings, and fire doors compliant with safety standards were installed. Aluminum frames and laminate doors were used for all doors.
Technical and Mechanical Infrastructure: State-of-the-art systems were integrated to ensure the campus meets modern education and living standards.
Electrical: Full safety is ensured with high and low voltage installations, lightning protection, and grounding systems. FLD busbar, telephone, and data installations were set up for an integrated network. UPS for uninterrupted power, CCTV systems for automation and security were integrated. In addition, emergency announcement and public address systems, TV, fire alarm systems, and perimeter/garden lighting have been fully completed.
Mechanical: VRF, heating boiler systems, and boiler rooms have been installed for the comfort of the campus. Ventilation, sewage, and clean water systems for the health of students and teachers, as well as fire protection systems for life safety, have been fully completed.
Landscaping: The project was not limited to buildings. Various educational and social areas within the campus were completed. In addition, infrastructure, landscaping, and landscaping works supporting the operation of the entire campus were completed, creating a modern living space.
