This comprehensive project, covering a total construction area of 32,000 m², was successfully completed to modernize and structurally reinforce an existing industrial facility. The project aimed to maximize the facility's operational efficiency and safety by integrating advanced engineering solutions, precision fabrication, and system implementation.
Structural Reinforcement and Infrastructure Renewal
The project began with critical dismantling works to reconfigure the facility's operational processes. The existing steel process hangers, electrical, and mechanical lines were removed to prepare the ground for infrastructure transformation. Existing reinforced concrete equipment foundations and process pits were demolished and removed to create a suitable base for new production lines.
As part of the renovation, new reinforced concrete equipment foundations, process line pits, installation pits, and ground slabs were constructed to accommodate modern, heavy machinery. These new structures offer increased load-bearing capacity and durability for the facility's long-term needs.
The structural reinforcement works were one of the most critical components of the project. Steel strengthening fabrications were performed on the existing building, with detailed measurements taken at every connection point. This reinforcement increased the facility's resistance to seismic and operational loads. A total of 2,512 tons of steel were erected to create a detailed steel process hanger system for the new production lines. This system was designed to maximize the efficiency and safety of the production flow.
Integrated Mechanical and Electrical Systems
Upon the renewed and reinforced infrastructure, mechanical and electrical systems were integrated according to the latest standards. Within the scope of electrical works, a transformer was supplied and installed to meet all of the facility's energy needs, along with MV-LV switchgear and various panels for secure power distribution. Modern lighting installations, low-current and high-current systems, and a precise fire detection system were installed to ensure operational continuity and employee safety.
The mechanical systems are vital for in-plant comfort and uninterrupted processes. This included the installation of a firefighting system for potential emergencies, a ventilation system for a healthy working environment, and HVAC systems for climate control. Essential process lines for smooth production, as well as potable water and wastewater lines for water management, were also meticulously fabricated.
Finishing Works and Completion
In the final phase of the project, finishing works were completed to enhance employee comfort and hygiene standards. This included the construction of modern and functional WCs and other necessary utility works. All areas of the renovated facility were designed and made ready for use in accordance with the standards set by the modernization process. This project significantly boosted the facility's competitiveness by increasing its capacity and technological capabilities.
