This project, implemented for Erşat Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret LTD. ŞTİ., encompasses the installation of a wind turbine with a total installed capacity of 6.2 MW and all related infrastructure works, in line with the company's sustainability goals. This turnkey project completed all processes, from the construction of the turbine foundation to the switchgear and control building, in accordance with the highest engineering and safety standards.

Ground Improvement and Turbine Foundation Construction

The most critical phase of the project was the meticulous execution of the ground and foundation works necessary to ensure that the turbine could safely withstand high static and dynamic loads. To this end, a total of 384 meters of 65 cm diameter bored piles were constructed as part of the ground improvement works. This deep foundation system increased the bearing capacity of the ground, guaranteeing the long-term stability of the turbine.

Following the pile manufacturing, the excavation works in the foundation area were completed, and grout concrete was poured to create a solid foundation ground. Formwork and steel reinforcement were installed to form the main load-bearing structure of the foundation, and then the turbine foundation reinforced concrete works were completed.

Anchoring systems that provide a secure connection between the turbine tower and the foundation, and electrical conduit systems for energy transmission, were integrated prior to the concrete pour. Finally, grout was poured to reinforce the structural integrity of the foundation. Waterproofing and drainage system applications were implemented to protect the foundation from groundwater and moisture.

Logistics and Facility Structures

The installation of a wind turbine is a specialized logistics operation requiring the transportation of heavy and bulky equipment. Therefore, access roads and a turbine installation platform were constructed with great care for the project. Excavation and filling works, carried out in accordance with the challenging conditions of the terrain, ensured the safe movement of heavy cranes and transport vehicles. These roads and platforms were delivered in accordance with test standards and made ready for operational use.

The switchyard and control management building, which are the heart of the wind power plant, have also been completed as part of this comprehensive project. The switchyard ensures that the generated energy is safely transferred to the grid, while the control management building ensures that all operational processes of the facility are monitored, controlled, and managed 24/7.

To ensure the durability and sustainability of transportation routes, water ditches have been constructed according to the topography of the terrain. At road crossings, reinforced concrete culverts compliant with DSİ (State Hydraulic Works) standards have been built to allow for the controlled drainage of surface water flow.

This project is an exemplary study of how a large-scale energy production system can be integrated into the existing infrastructure of an industrial facility. Playing a critical role in Erşat Tekstil's achievement of its sustainability goals, this project has laid the foundation for a future-oriented investment by creating a robust, reliable, and modern infrastructure.
